Celebrating 15 Years of the Department of International Relations and 40 Years of the MAIR Programme

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ commemorated the 15th anniversary of the Department of International Relations and the 40th anniversary of the Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) at the Senate Hall on July 29, 2025. Honouring these important milestones, a book titled “Reflections on International Relations,” a collection of 19 academic articles, was officially launched.
The event was graced by Vice Chancellor Professor , Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor , along with well-wishers from the university, fellow sister universities, research institutes and think tanks, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Authors of the publication were also present at the event, adding further significance to the occasion.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr , followed by speeches from Professor Manawadu and Professor Karunathilake. Professor presented a special address, and Professor Amal Jayawardena delivered the keynote speech. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor , expressing heartfelt appreciation to all those in attendance.
