The 5^th lecture of the Dean’s lecture series in the Faculty of was held on 1^st November 2019 at the Faculty Board Room. Professor Suresh Canagarajah (Edwin Erle Sparks Professor, Pennsylvania State University, USA), delivered the lecture on ‘Post-colonial English Language Curriculum Practices in South Asia’  and  Dr. Wenura Palihawadana (Consultant Psychiatrist, Base Hospital, Dambadeniya) delivered the lecture on ‘Psychology of fear and overcoming fear to speak a foreign language‘. The book titled “Post-colonial Curriculum Practices in South Asia: Building Confidence to Speak English” written by Dr. Asantha U. Attanayake, Senior Lecturer. Department of , was also launched in the same event.
