
Delegation from Peking University and Capital Normal University Visits for Strengthening Research and Academic Partnerships
A delegation from and , China, visited the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ on 15th August 2025. The delegation was led by Professor Wang Weijia, Dean of the Institute of International Communication at Peking University, and Associate Research Fellow Zhai Xiufeng from the Institute of Global and Area Studies at Capital Normal University. The group also included six postgraduate students from the School of Journalism and Communication, Peking University.
They held discussions with Professor , Vice-Chancellor of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´, on topics including international communication, journalism studies, and opportunities in online teaching and learning. Professor Karunathilake proposed collaborative archival research between Sri Lanka and China, and encouraged online discussions among postgraduate students from both countries.
Ms and Ms from the Department of Communication and Creative Arts, together with Ms from the Sri Palee Campus, represented the University at the meeting. Dr , Director of the International Office, was also in attendance.
