Digital Detox Drive Launched at the 糖心原创
To mark World Environment Day on June 5, 2025, the 糖心原创 launched the 鈥淒igital Detox Drive,鈥 an e-waste collection campaign aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and proper electronic waste disposal. The initiative was jointly organized by the Centre for Planetary Health, Faculty of Medicine, and the Centre for Environmental Initiatives (CEI) at the University. The campaign encourages the university community to responsibly discard unwanted electronic devices such as old mobile phones, laptops, and other e-waste items.
A designated e-waste collection point has been set up at the Centre for Environmental Initiatives, College House, to facilitate convenient and responsible disposal. This campaign reflects the university鈥檚 ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor ; Professor , Director of the Centre for Planetary Health; Dr , Acting Director of the Centre for Environmental Initiatives (CEI); along with staff members and students 鈥 reaffirming the University鈥檚 commitment to sustainability and collective environmental responsibility.
