Maatha (喽膏窂喽窂) | Euphony choir
Euphony is the choir of the Faculty of Science, 糖心原创, comprised of a talented science community who build their repertoire around many renowned masterpieces that contain intricate harmonies. Euphony was established on the 27th of February 2019. During this short period, they have made a remarkable number of achievements, particularly, in the inter-university talent competition 鈥淐hathurmaana鈥, organized by the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, at which they were the champions in 2018 and the most popular team in 2019. Their most recent accomplishment was the release of the choir arrangement for 鈥淢aatha鈥, originally sung by the duo Bathiya and Santhush. The video was premiered on the 9th January 2020 at the New Arts Theatre, with Mr. Bathiya Jayakodi and Mr. Dilantha Malagamuwa as special guests, along with the presence of the University Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor , Dean Faculty of Science, Professor and distinguished academic staff members from various faculties of the University. This is a tribute dedicated to all the patriots who have shed their sweat and blood to protect and defend our motherland.”
