Foreign Participants at IFMM visited ÌÇÐÄÔ´´
A group of foreign academics participated at the International Forum for Mathematical Modeling (IFMM) 2015 of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ met, Prof. Lakshman Dissanayake, Vice-Chancellor of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´, Prof. K.R.R. Mahanama, Dean Faculty of Science, and senior academics from Faculty of Science on 17th of November at the Senate Hall of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´. Prof. Jorn Sass, and Dr. Oliver Tse (Dept. of Mathematics, University of Kaiserslautern, Germany), Dr. Sapto Indratno, Mr. Edvin Nugraha, Lia Yuliawati, Sandy Vantika (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung, Indonesia )Dr. Dil Bahadur Gurung, Bekha Dangol, Ganga Paijoo, Sharmila Shrestha(Department of Natural Science, School of Science, Katmandu University, Nepal) Dr.Thilan Hewage(Head, Department of Mathematics, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´), Dr. Jagath Wijerathna, Dr. Nishantha Perera(Dept. of Mathematics, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´), and Dr. Sampath Seneviratne (Director, International Unit ) participated at the meeting. During the meeting,
Prof. Lakshman Dissanayake expressed his sincere willingness to facilitate the research program through a multilateral agreement with the partner Universities of the IFMM and pointed out the importance of Mathematical Modeling in all research disciplines. This will provide a platform to enhance the advancement of research areas such as Biology, Medicine, Finance, Environmental Science, and Engineering through Mathematical Modeling. The IFMM program is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The meeting was organized by the International Unit of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´.
