Guest Lecture and Panel Discussion on 鈥淢aritime Security”

The , 糖心原创, with collaboration of the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, organized the First Guest Lecture and the Panel Discussion under the theme of 鈥Maritime Security鈥 for Semester II of academic year 2018/19 on 28th of September 2018.

The Keynote Speaker/Chief Guest was Professor Atsuko Kanehara from the of Japan and the Guest of Honor was Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka. The Keynote Speech was 鈥淛apan鈥檚 ocean Policy in the context of Free & Open Indo-Pacific Strategy鈥. The Panel Discussion on 鈥淢aritime Security Regime鈥 was chaired by Professor Emeritus Amal Jayawardane and the panelists were Professor Asanga Abeyagoonesekara and Mr. M.A.M. Hakeem. This was organized by the Department of International Relations with the collaboration of the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka.聽 Representatives from the European Union, Centre for Contemporary Indian Studies, United Nations Development Program, United Kingdom, France and USA participated at the occasion.
