Launch of Sinhala Textbook edited by Senior Professor Sandagomi Coperahewa
The launching ceremony of the Sinhala textbook titled 喽粪窂喾傕窂喽班穵鈥嵿逗喽亨侗喽 喾勦窂 喾喾忇稖喾娻穩喾掄动喾娾嵿逗喾忇穩: 喾冟窉喽穵喽班窂喽编穵喽, 喽氞穵鈥嵿痘喽膏穩喾氞动 喾勦窂 喽膏董喾喾忇动 (Language Study and Linguistics: Theories, Methodologies, and Ideologies), edited by Senior Professor (Chair) of the Department of Sinhala, Faculty of Arts, was held on August 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the New Arts Theatre. Ven. Thirikunamale Ananda Maha Thero chaired the event, while the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor , and Rev. Dr. Sylvester Ranasinghe, Rector of Aquinas College of Higher Studies, graced the occasion as special guests
A large audience attended, comprising members of the Maha Sangha, Council members, university staff members, linguists, teachers, and university students. Professor (Retired) , Mr Srinath Ganewatta, and Dr delivered speeches based on the new publication.
