Opening Ceremony of the Refurbished Pavilion
The Refurbished Pavilion of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ was declared open on 17th of February 2022 by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Education and Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, Minister of Youth and Sports. This pavilion, originally established in the 1930s, was refurbished under the patronage of Sri Lanka Cricket. The function was also graced by Professor , Secretary of Education, Professor Chandana P. Udawatta, Vice Chairman University Grants Commission along with Professor , the Vice Chancellor of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´.
Academic and administrative staff and students of the Amalgamated Club participated at the event. This landmark edifice adds significant value to the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ and provides the necessary environment to upscale student life by enhancing their sports performance.
