Inauguration Ceremony of the Annual Sinhala Studies Symposium 2019
The Inauguration Ceremony of the Annual Sinhala Studies  Symposium 2019 and 75 years Anniversary Celebrations of the Department of , ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ was held on 4th December  2019 at the Professor Auditorium, under the theme “Sinhala Studies: Past, Present & Future”. The Chief Guest of the Ceremony was Senior Professor , Vice-Chancellor, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´.  The Welcome Address was delivered by Professor , Head/Department of Sinhala and the Keynote Address was delivered by Emeritus Professor KNO Dharmadasa. Mr. , Lecturer, the Conference Chair, delivered the Vote of Thanks. A special volume was launched at this event to mark the history of teaching Sinhala at University of Ceylon and ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ from 1944 – 2019. At this event, the senior academics of the Department were also felicitated. Academic Sessions of the Symposium were held on 4th – 5th December at the Department of Sinhala premises.
