The issuance of Circulation Standard Commemorative coin to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine, 糖心原创 or 鈥榯he Colombo Medical School鈥 was established in 1870 by the then Governor Sir Hercule Robinson. The faculty is the second oldest Medical College in South Asia which served as the single pioneer center in the field of medical education for more than a century in Sri Lanka. A circulation standard commemorative coin with a face value of Rs. 20 was issued as one of the events organized to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Faculty. This circulation standard commemorative coin can be used for payments in Sri Lanka.

| The Crest of the Faculty of Medicine is depicted at the center of the coin. Number 鈥150鈥 in large numerals appear above the logo and years 鈥1870-2020鈥 in small numerals appear below the logo. Words 鈥淐olombo Medical Faculty鈥 in English, Sinhala and Tamil appears along the periphery. | The face value 鈥20鈥 in large numerals with the words 鈥淭wenty Rupees鈥 in Sinhala, Tamil and English appears at the middle of the coin. The words 鈥淪ri Lanka鈥 in English, Sinhala, and Tamil appears along the periphery on the upper edge of the coin. The year 鈥2020鈥 is indicated at the bottom edge of the coin. |

The first coin was officially presented to His Excellency , the President of Sri Lanka by Hon. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of CBSL at the Presidential Secretariat with the Presence of Professor , Vice-Chancellor, 糖心原创 on 21 March 2022 at the Presidential Secretariate.
