
UOC signs an MoU with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras
and the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that marked the beginning of a new chapter in academic partnership. The MoU was signed by Senior Professor (Chair) , the Vice Chancellor of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´, and Professor , the Dean of Global Engagement at IIT Madras on the 03 of February 2023.
Mr Aravind Krishnan, a representative of the Office of Global Engagement at IIT, Madras, attended the MoU signing ceremony in person while the Dean of Global Engagement, Professor and Ms Deepa Maria Alexander, International Academic Programs attached to the Office of Global Engagement at IIT, Madras attended the ceremony online. Representing the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´, The Director of the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (IBMBB) Professor Prasanna Galhena, Professor , The Director of International Office, Professor and The Registrar of the University, Mr K. A. S. Edward were present.
The collaboration between the two institutions will pursue possibilities of joint teaching and learning opportunities and conducting research in both natural sciences and humanities. After the meeting, Mr Aravind met a team of postgraduate students at the IBMBB to further explore future possibilities and options for collaborating in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology.
