World science day for peace and development 2014 was held on 10^th November 2014 at the main conference hall of BMICH under the theme “Quality Science Education: Ensuring a sustainable future for all”. The national Science Foundation of Sri Lanka (NSF) celebrated this day by organizing a series of competitions for students interested in Science, Nationwide. Competitions were mainly focused on the theme “Space Technology for Benefit of the Human Being”.

The winners of the Digital Story Telling Competition (USS) were;

1^st Place

o Dananjaya Fernando (1^st year Student – Physical Science)
o Mathematical and Astronomical Society of ����ԭ��

2^nd Place

o Shamal Silva (4^th year Student – Chemistry special)
o Chemical Society of ����ԭ��

3^rd Place

o Kalindu Gayan Randika (3^rd year Student-Computational Physics Special)
o Physics Society of ����ԭ��
