
9 UOC researchers rank among the World’s top 2% of Scientists – 2022 Release
Stanford University recently released the list of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists in the updated Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators on the 10th of October 2022. The analysis was prepared by a team of experts led by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University, and 40 Sri Lankan scientists including 9 researchers affiliated with the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ have been ranked on this list.
In the year 2021 list of the top 2% scientists, Emeritus Professor Kamini Mendis, Professor , Professor , Professor , Professor , Professor , Professor and Dr. have been included.
Emeritus Professor , Emeritus Professor Kamini Mendis, Professor Senaka Rajapakse and Professor Nadira D. Karunaweera are on the Career-long top 2% of scientists list.
This career-long database and single-year dataset considered 195,605 scientists and 200,409 scientists respectively from 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. Calculations were performed using all Scopus author profiles as of September 1, 2022. The database of top-cited scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
